Pacific NorthWest News

I took this picture with a Canon Powerpoint SD 1000 camera. I was about 4' away from Anna, I used the flash and the camera was in auto mode. I zoomed in quite a bit from the 4'. This series was taken in August, 2008.

I took this photo last August, 2008, also. The camera still in auto mode and I was about 4' away still.

Class Homework

Why do you take photos?
I use photos for family history, to remember certain events, and just because I see a beautiful or moving moment.

What do you take photos of?
I take photos of my family and friends, unusual things or events, and nature (flowers, sunsets, animals, insects, etc.)

Why that subject?
I like to document times and subjets that others don't particularly notice.

Do you have a theme to your work?
My theme may vary with each photo shot. At a family reunion, I would want to show the people there and how they interact with each other. In nature I would like to show what is usual or unusual and how plants and animals work together. I like to photo stuff like that.

What kind of photos do you want to take?
I would like to take many different subjects and using the camera in different ways to get a feel of it all and find what I enjoy best and do best.

How will you achieve that goal?
I am taking a digital camera class from a person who is a photographer herself, and by
setting up a situation where I can get feed back on how I am doing.

Will you share your photos and how?
Yes, I will share my photos and I have set up a bolg in order to do this.
